Our story
Our story begins with a little girl, her two grandmothers, and their shared love of flavorful food. That girl is no longer so little — and her passion for delicious food has only grown with time.
Our chief flavor maker, Sarana, owes her love of the culinary arts to her grandmothers, who inspired and fostered her curiosity from a very young age. That curiosity led to cookery classes of every kind — general cooking, Chinese cuisine, cakes — and eventually to a home cake business, baking Christmas cakes for her father's holiday hampers. Confidence grew into wedding cakes, birthday orders, short eats for parties, and lamprais Sunday lunches.
She went on to complete professional training at the Prima Baking & Training Center in Sri Lanka and opened a registered takeaway and catering kitchen, serving lunch, dinner and small functions — until the family moved to the United States in 2018.
In Fort Wayne, that journey continues as The Flavor Patch — a family business on a mission to spread the flavors of homemade culinary goodness and scintillate your senses.
